Serving others is how we advance the kingdom of God. The Bible states that the church is the body of Christ, and that the body is made up of many members. The body is healthiest when all members are functioning together in unison. This is what it means to serve. When we serve, we are allowing the body to function as it should. Each person using the gifts that God has given them. When we serve, we not only help others, we also find our purpose.
